Sooryavanshi trailer launch: Akshay, Katrina, Ranveer, Ajay at Juhu multiplex

Akshay Kumar along with Katrina Kaif and other cast and crew launched the trailer of Rohit Shetty's cop franchise's next outing Sooryavanshi at a popular multiplex in Juhu. While Katrina looked pretty in her orange body-hugging dress, the guys wore 'Aa Rahi Hai Police' tee with denim as they arrived for the trailer launch. All pictures/Yogen Shah

The trailer of Sooryavanshi, which clocked four-minutes and 15-seconds, was all guns blazing with action, just like Rohit Shetty's past outings. The trailer begins with a voice-over along with snippets of blasts that have rocked the city of dreams, Mumbai, in the past. As the video shows the country on the cusp of a war, Akshay Kumar is introduced as a promising cop, who makes a dramatic entry by jumping off from an aircraft.

Katrina Kaif plays the romantic interest of Akshay Kumar. A brief glimpse of their love and family life is shown in the power-packed trailer. The duo is reuniting for the eight-time with this movie.

This will be the first time, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh's characters will come together on-screen. The trailer also introduces Simmba and Singham with smashing entries.

Sooryavanshi also stars Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Sikander Kher, Abhimanyu Singh, Nikitin Dheer among others. The film is co-produced by Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty.

Sooryavanshi is possibly the longest trailer ever for a Bollywood film that not only gives us a glimpse of what lies in the narrative but also the cop universe Shetty has created for Indian fans.

Sooryavanshi is all set to release on March 24, a day before Gudi Padwa, which also coincides with Mumbai theatres going 24/7.
