On Monday, the makers unveiled the first look posters of the principal characters. Arjun shared a poster of him as Sadashiv Rao Bhau and captioned the image: "Sadashiv Rao Bhau - Bravery Is To Stand For What You Believe In, Even If You Stand Alone. [sic]"

Talking about the film, Arjun Kapoor said, "It is my first-period film and also my first film with Ashu (Ashutosh Gowariker) sir. He is one of the finest directors of our country. He has made amazing films like 'Lagaan', 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Swades'. I really had fun working on 'Panipat' and now I am feeling sad that shooting of the film is over because I learnt a lot from him in the process."

Kriti Sanon, who is having a dream run at the box office with her latest release Housefull 4, looks ethereal in the first look of her upcoming film Panipat. Kriti essays the role of Parvati Bai in her first-period of drama. Panipat is Kriti's fourth release this year making her one of the most bankable actresses at the box office.

Kriti Sanon shared the poster and captioned it: "Parvati Bai - A True Queen Needs No Crown. [sic]" Kriti Sanon talking her recent movies said, "A big thanks to the audiences for giving the film and my character so much love. I credit the viewers for all the successes that have come by and I feel very fortunate. Getting to do what you love is rewarding in itself. When it's coupled with a positive response, I feel more responsible towards my calling as an actor."

Sanjay Dutt took to his social media account to share his first look from the film. He wrote, "Ahmad Shah Abdali - Death strikes where his shadow falls. [sic]" Panipat is based on the Third Battle of Panipat. In the film, Arjun Kapoor plays Sadashivrao Bhau, who served as the commander-in-chief of the Maratha army. Sanjay Dutt plays the founder of the Durrani empire, Ahmad Shah Abdali. Kriti Sanon plays Parvati Bai in the film.

Panipat also stars Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl, Zeenat Aman and Mir Sarwar. The film is produced by Sunita Gowariker and is scheduled to release on December 6.
