Kangana Ranaut in Ahmedabad for Tejas promotions
The countdown to Kangana Ranaut's Tejas has begun. The aviation drama, directed by Sarvesh Mewara, will be releasing in theatres globally on October 27. The promotions kickstarted recently. Kangana, who plays the titular role, celebrated Navratri in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
During the promotions of Tejas, Kangana reached Ahmedabad on the first day of Navratri and participated in the festivities. In the midst of the festive Navaratri celebrations, the actress was spotted at Shankus Dandiya, where she interacted with fans, and also enjoyed the traditional Garba. Kangana performed aarti and sought blessings for the film.

Amid the promotions, Kangana donned the costume of the Indian Air Force at the pre-match event of India vs Afghanistan. She also met the as-of-now first and only woman Rafale fighter pilot in the IAF, Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh.
On Saturday, during the India vs. Pakistan cricket match, Arijit Singh sang the first song, titled Jaan Da, from Tejas. The song was officially released on Sunday. Sharing Jaan Da on Instagram, Kangana wrote, "Hai ishq jaise aasmaan daâ¦#JaanDa (Saiyaan Ve) song is out, tune in now."
Tejas is based on the life of Tejas Gill (Kangana), one of the best Air Force pilots. She is determined to safeguard Bharat with her aviation skills when the country is attacked. Tejas takes up the responsibility of battling terrorism. The Sarvesh Mewara is touted to be India's first air-action film showcasing India's first indigenous fighter jet - Tejas.
The teaser of Tejas was unveiled on Gandhi Jayanti 2023 (October 2). Kangana's monologue introduced the theme of the film. She said, "Zaroori nahi hai har bar baatcheet hone chahiye. Jung ke maidan mein ab jung hone chahiye. Ho gaya hai mere vatan pe ab bahut he sitam. Ab toh aakash se barish nahi aag barasni chahiye. Bharat ko chhedoge toh chhodenge nahi. (The necessity of dialogue every time is not required; now, there should be a battle on the battlefield. India/Bharat has suffered too much cruelty. Now, instead of rain, there should be fire raining from the sky. If you provoke my Bharat, we will not let you go unpunished.)"
