Star couple Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan turned a year older on May 22. Suhana made her entry into the film industry with her debut film, 'The Archies', which was directed by Zoya Akhtar. Suhana played Veronica Lodge in The Archies, which is streaming on Netflix India. The film also marked the acting debut of Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda, and Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. In the coming months, Suhana will reportedly be seen alongside Shah Rukh in her next film, âKing'.
Rumour has it that Suhana Khan's second film is inspired by the English language French production, âLeon: The Professional' (1994). It has been tentatively titled âKing'. The original film revolves around a professional hitman who reluctantly takes in a twelve-year-old after her family is murdered by a corrupt official. The two form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns to be like him.
Director Sujoy Ghosh is adapting the revenge drama, with Shah Rukh Khan playing a role that was essayed by Jean Reno and Suhana stepping into Natalie Portman's shoes. "Though Shah Rukh's character is like a mentor to Suhana's, the interpersonal dynamics, other aspects, and treatment will be altered keeping Indian sentiments in mind," a source informed mid-day.com.
The action thriller is produced by Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed Khan's comeback film âPathaan'. While the superstar was initially said to have an extended cameo, now rumours are rife that SRK will play the lead in the film. The screenplay has undergone quite a few changes. As a result, SRK's character - who is a mentor to Suhana's character and rescues her a few times in the narrative - has gained greater significance. Sujoy and Sid are now looking to begin pre-production next month and take the big-budget thriller on floors this August. In the wake of these changes, the makers are contemplating a late 2025 release.

Khan was last seen in 'Dunki', which focused on the issue of immigration. He will be seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in 'Tiger vs Pathaan'. The film will reportedly have Tiger (Salman) locking horns with Pathaan, played by Shah Rukh Khan. It will mark their full-fledged collaboration after 'Karan Arjun'. An official announcement regarding the project is still awaited.
