Shilpa Shetty's husband, Raj Kundra, made several headlines when he was accused of shooting and streaming pornographic content. The businessman has since used a mask to cover his face whenever he made a public appearance. Now, finally, Raj Kundra has decided to lift his mask and show the reality. Kundra is debuting with a film based on his life, 'UT69.'
Debutant Kundra's wife and popular actress Shilpa Shetty took to her Instagram to launch the trailer of the film. In the trailer, Raj Kundra can be seen taking on the role of himself as he embarks on a journey to show the world his reality. While posting the video, Shilpa wrote "All the best, Cookie You're a brave man⦠that's what I admire the most about you! Here's to your gumption and positivity! @onlyrajkundra

As soon as Shilpa dropped the trailer of the movie, a lot of users reacted to it, showing their disapproval of the idea of Raj Kundra making a film on himself. A user wrote, "Raj kundra aadmi kaise hai pata nahi actor toh acha nikla". Another user shared, "I like u but showing what happend with him jail, doesn't prove him innocent". A third user wrote, "Aapda ko Avsar me badle". "Power of money," wrote another user.
While talking about the film debutant Raj shared, "This is more than just a movie for me! While it's a closure of sorts, you will see through my eyes a story about survival, friendships, and relationships inside India's most notoriously crowded infamous detention centre, also known as Arthur Road Jail."
There were also rumours swirling that Farah Khan was directing it. However, all doubts were put to rest during the gripping trailer launch event, where it was officially announced that the talented and experienced ad film director Shahnawaz Ali helmed the project.
Speaking passionately about the film, Shahnawaz Ali remarked, "UT69 is a slice-of-life film about a celebrity among misfits. It's a light-hearted film about trying to find the best in the worst of situations and living beyond sorrows. For me, telling the story through humour was more impactful than any other way. Raj's story was unique, and it needed unique storytelling. But at its heart, it's a human story that will connect with all audiences."
