Word is R Balki has roped in 'Scam 1992' actor Shreya Dhanwanthary in his upcoming psychological thriller starring Dulquer Salmaan. She played journalist Sucheta Dalal in Hansal Mehta's much-acclaimed web series. Dhanwanthary seems to have finally caught the attention of filmmakers considering her B-Town outing, the Emraan Hashmi-starrer 'Why Cheat India' (2019), proved to be a dud.

We won't be surprised if music maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Amitabh Bachchan are also part of the project after all Balki considers them his inspirations. Big B has been part of all his directorial ventures. If the veteran superstar is not included in the cast, Balki makes sure that he does a cameo or a voice-over.

Veteran South cinematographer PC Sreeram, who Balki idolises and is a frequent collaborator, has reached Mumbai to weave his magic with the camera.
Last week, Balki and his filmmaker wife, Gauri Shinde said they have partnered with media business veteran Pranab Kapadia as co-producer for their upcoming films to be made under their banner Hope Productions. The couple's production house, which was founded in 2011, has backed their critically-acclaimed films such as 'Cheeni Kum', 'Paa', 'English Vinglish', 'Shamitabh', 'Padman', 'Ki & Ka', 'Dear Zindagi' and 'Mission Mangal'. The company has also made a gamut of television commercials. The filmmaker revealed that there are four films in the pipeline, including a thriller, at their production house.
