SS Rajamouli's Bahubali gave Prabhas a superstar status. The pan-India film garnered critical as well as commercial recognition, making him one of the most sought-after stars for big-scale actioners and romantic dramas. While Bahubali merchandise remain to be popular, a picture of Prabhas' wax statue caught attention on social media.

Recently, a fan club shared a picture of Prabhas' wax statue in Bahubali avatar on X, formerly known as Twitter. It was from a wax museum in Mysore. The statue can be seen dressed in a dhoti and armour.

Reacting to the viral picture, the producer of Bahubali, Shobu Yarlagadda, slammed the creators of the wax statue for making it without consent. Replying to the fan club's tweet, he wrote, "This not an officially licensed work and was done without our permission or knowledge. We will be taking immediate steps to get this removed."

Bahubali is one of the biggest films ever made in India and received worldwide recognition. The film was also the first non-English film to be screened at the Royal Albert Hall auditorium in London. It became a household name and the movie also inspired a lot of games, food items, cartoons etc.

The magnum opus made Prabhas a pan-India star and later his fandom made it a global phenomenon. He effortlessly portrayed the dual role of Amarendra and Mahendra Baahubali and gave five to six years of his life to the Bahubali universe.

Due to the popularity of Bahubali, producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, who backed the magnum opus, were in talks with Netflix to create a web series on Sivagami, played by Ramya Krishnan in the film. However, it has been put on the back burner yet again.

Bahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language epic action film co-written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The film was produced in Tollywood and was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. Its sequel, titled Bahubali: The Conclusion, released globally in 2017.

Bahubali franchise starred Prabhas along with Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah Bhatia and others.
