Kareena Kapoor-starrer ‘Veere Di Wedding’ sequel in the making, to go on floors next year: Reports

In their report, Pinkvilla shared a quote from one of the producers. "Veere Di Wedding is a very special project for the makers, and they have already set the ball rolling for the sequel. So Veere Di Wedding 2 is definitely being made, and the idea and concept have already been locked. However, the script is still being written, and the final draft should be ready in a few months. Once that is done, they will start looking at the casting and other logistics. The movie will roll next year," the report quoted a source close to the development as saying.

The report stirred quite a bit of excitement as fans eagerly wait for this film to hit the big screen in the next year or two.

In Veere Di Wedding, four childhood pals - Kalindi Puri (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Avni Sharma (Sonam Kapoor Ahuja), Sakshi Soni (Swara Bhaskar), and Meera Sood (Shikha Talsania) - are central to the narrative. When Kalindi, an Australian resident who lives with her partner Rishabh Malhotra (Sumeet Vyas), chooses to get married, the friends reunite. The movie chronicles the struggles these four contemporary, independent women face as they manage their relationships, families, and jobs.

The friends experience an emotional rollercoaster as Kalindi's wedding draws near, learning hidden truths and dealing with their own struggles. The movie explores topics like dedication, friendship, love, self-discovery, and societal expectations. Each of them has particular problems. The film emphasises the resilience of female friendships and emphasises the value of standing by one another through good times and bad.
