Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan declare over Rs 1,578 Crore in combined assets
The actress, last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, disclosed her personal net worth in the election affidavit. As per Business Today, Jaya Bachchan stated it as Rs 1.63 crore for the financial year 2022-23. Meanwhile, her husband Amitabh Bachchan's net worth for the same year is reported as Rs 273.74 crore.
The affidavit also reveals their combined assets, including bank balances, and movable, and immovable properties, totalling to a substantial value. According to the affidavit, Jaya Bachchan has a bank balance of Rs 10.11 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan's bank balance is Rs 120.45 crore. Their total movable assets are valued at Rs 849.11 crore, and the value of their immovable properties is Rs 729.77 crore.

Sources of income and wealth collected by Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan
According to the election affidavit, Jaya Bachchan's wealth comes from various sources, including earnings from endorsements, her salary as a Member of Parliament, and fees from acting. Amitabh Bachchan's income sources include interest, rent, dividends, capital gains, revenue from a solar plant, and his professional fees as an actor. Additionally, as reported by The Times of India, Jaya owns jewellery valued at Rs 40.97 crore and a car worth Rs 9.82 lakh. In contrast, Amitabh possesses jewellery worth Rs 54.77 crore and 16 vehicles totalling Rs 17.66 crore, which includes two Mercedes and a Range Rover.
In 2018, Jaya Bachchan declared combined assets with her husband, Amitabh Bachchan, amounting to Rs 1000 crore. While Jaya has been less active in the film industry for several years, she made a comeback in 2023 with Karan Johar's movie.
On the other hand, Amitabh remains visible on television as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati and is frequently featured in movies. His latest film was Ganapath in 2023, and this year, he is set to appear in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD and the Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan.
