Amid rising Covid-19 cases in Mumbai, Varun Dhawan shared his thoughts about the current scenario. The actor wrote that everyone in the city knows someone who has contracted the disease. "If you are from Mumbai and your friends are not Covid positive, then you don't have friends," Dhawan wrote. With several B-Town colleagues, including buddy Arjun Kapoor infected, he saw the funny side of it. He wished Kapoor a speedy recovery. Dhawan has also been spreading awareness about the need to take precautions and mask up due to the Omicron scare. In December 2020, Dhawan had contracted the virus while shooting for Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh. Co-star Neetu Kapoor had also tested positive.
Shilpa Shetty is back to sharing snapshots and videos on social media with husband Raj Kundra. After he was arrested for allegedly producing and distributing porn films, the actor kept him away from her posts.

On Wednesday, Shetty shared an Insta video after they visited the Sai Baba temple in Shirdi. She had earlier posted a photo with Kundra from their year-end family vacation in Uttarakhand.

Kapil Sharma's digital comedy special, I'm Not Done Yet, drops on Netflix on January 28. The comedian will be seen getting candid about his life's journey in his inimitable way. "I have never taken comedy seriously because we keep joking all the time. It comes naturally to me because we are from Punjab," said Sharma.
To mark Deepika Padukone's 36th birthday on Wednesday, the makers of Gehraiyaan released the romantic drama's motion posters. Helmed by Shakun Batra, the film also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Last month, it was announced that Gehraiyaan will drop on Amazon Prime Video on January 25. Now, Karan Johar's production has been postponed to February 11 as the promotional campaign is on halt due to the virus scare.
On Wednesday, South actor Raashii Khanna began shooting for Yodha. Karan Johar's action-thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani. She was welcomed on the set of Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre's directorial venture with a box of healthy treats. Khanna also features in the web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness starring Ajay Devgn, and in Raj-DK's show, which marks the digital debut of Shahid Kapoor.
Sonu Nigam, wife Madhurima and son Nevaan are under quarantine at their Dubai home after testing positive for the virus. The singer referred to themselves as the "Covid family." He had jetted off to the desert emirate to ring in 2022 with his folks. Nigam tested himself before heading back to India for a show in Bhubaneswar. In an Instagram video, he informed that his voice remains unaffected. "As long as my throat is okay, I am fine," he said.
Amitabh Bachchan, wrote a cryptic text on his blog, which read, "Dealing with some domestic Covid situations... will connect later." Though Big B did not divulge details, BMC officials said that during a routine testing of the 31 staff members at the veteran superstar's bungalows, Pratiksha and Jalsa, one tested positive. In 2020, Big B, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were hospitalised after testing positive.
Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actor Erica Fernandes and mother Lavina tested positive for Covid-19. Erica warned people "not to rely on the home test kits" as it was negative even after she tested thrice on different days. When her sore throat and cold worsened, she opted for a lab test, which came positive. The actor added that they have developed a fever coupled with body ache and headache. "We are isolated and under medical care. When Covid first hit us, I was paranoid about it, but I knew that most of us were going to contract it sooner or later," Fernandes posted.
Sharad Malhotra, who is seen on Vidrohi, has also contracted the virus. He had not been shooting for the show for the last few days. As a precautionary measure, unit members have been tested and the sets fumigated. Malhotra is under quarantine at home.
