Trust Karan Johar to manage a casting coup with every venture, be it on the big screen or small. The eighth season of his chat show, Koffee with Karan, is no exception either. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani maker has got some interesting combinations of celebrities to grace the couch for the upcoming edition that begins streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on October 26. We hear that KJo has got real-life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone to join him for a fun conversation over a cuppa for one of the episodes. This is the first time the actor-couple have featured in the chat show together. While Ranveer featured alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar in the previous seasons, Deepika shared the couch with Sonam K Ahuja and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Incidentally, both Ranveer and Deepika have shot an episode each with Alia. The actor-couple recently shot the episode and later, also partied with their host and dost.
In a recent interaction, Akshay Kumar shared that wife Twinkle Khanna and he differ in their thinking about politics. Conceding that they don't impose their views on each other, he said, "That is one discussion we try and avoid because there's no point. You know how the other person thinks and you know how you think." Akki also stated that certain things need to be brushed under the carpet. "When you want to live happily, I say sometimes it is important, because there is no solution to it. Put it under the carpet and live happily," he has been quoted as saying.

Buzz in B-Town is that Sunny Deol has been approached to portray Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana trilogy. Given that the monkey-god is synonymous with strength and power, the makers believe Sunny is the perfect actor to play the part. The Gadar 2: The Katha Continues star has liked their idea and is keen to collaborate with them too.
Talk in the trade circuit is that the release of Rohit Shetty's Indian Police Force might be delayed. The web series, which marks the filmmaker's foray into OTT entertainment, was initially slated to drop on Diwali. However, the cop thriller, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi, will be deferred due to the release of Salman Khan's Tiger 3 and World Cup Cricket tournament scheduled this festive season. Apparently, Rohit and Amazon Prime Video, which is backing the action drama, opted to avoid the three-way clash. While the buzz around YRF's spy thriller has increased cinegoers' anticipation and cricket is akin to religion in the country, the filmmaker and the international streaming giant didn't want their show to be the third choice for audiences. This is not the first time Rohit has had to look for an alternate date. Recently, the makers of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule usurped his Singham Again's Independence Day 2024 window.
Kartik Aaryan recently shot a war sequence in Aru Valley, Kashmir, for director Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. Prior to that, the actor underwent intense rehearsals with co-stars Vijay Raaz and Bhuvan Arora over five days. Sharing a picture, Kartik wrote, "This eight-minute-long single-shot war scene turned out to be the most challenging, spectacular and also the most memorable shoot of my career." He also thanked Kabir and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for giving him a memory to cherish for a lifetime.
Zeenat Aman forgot to wish Amitabh Bachchan on his 81st birthday on Wednesday. But, she made up for it by sharing an incident when the ever-punctual icon got late for a shoot, and she was reprimanded by director in front of the whole team. Later, Big B arrived at her door with the producer. "He said, âBabs, I know it's my fault. The man is a fool and he's drunk. Let it go and let's get to work.'" While she accepted Bachchan's apology, and agreed to return to the set, she added that "the director threw himself at my feet and begged for my forgiveness." Zeenat concluded her post, saying, "It was all rather melodramatic, and though I completed the film, I never worked with that director again."
Rumours are rife that Sonam K Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are gearing up for a legal battle. The couple apparently sent a legal notice to a YouTube content creator named Raginyy. Reason: her recent video that not only delves into the Blind actor's past interviews, but also includes views on her on-screen performances. Though Raginyy hasn't minced words in addressing the actor's penchant for inviting trolling through her interview responses, she has also praised her acting chops. However, it looks like Sonam and Anand have ignored the content creator's praise and taken serious offence at her observations. The couple has reportedly stated in their notice that they have hired an agency to engage and neutralise not only fake profiles and "illegal rumours", but also, comments, negative reviews and gossip about their brands and business that would be potential targets for sabotage across the internet.
