After Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn will feature in Into The Wild With Bear Grylls. On Sunday, he took off for the shoot in the Maldives. British adventurer Grylls flew from London to take Devgn to the wildest locations to test his survival skills in the Discovery show. Kajol and kids, Nysa and Yug, along with some family members, are also jetting off to the island nation. As Yug celebrates his 11th birthday today, it will also be fam-jam time. Kumar and the Thalaiva had shot for the show in Bandipur National Park and Tiger Reserve in Karnataka. Narendra Modi was featured in Man vs Wild with Bear Grylls in 2019. The PM shot for it at the Jim Corbett National Park.

Akshay Kumar is back in London and has resumed work on Ranjit M Tewari's film, Mission Cinderella. Last Monday, he had rushed back to Mumbai to attend to his ailing mom, Aruna, who passed away on Wednesday. Over the weekend, the actor jetted off on a chartered flight with wife Twinkle and children, Aarav and Nitara.
SS Rajamouli's multilingual film, RRR, is not releasing on Dussehra (October 13) as theatres remain closed in several parts of the country and overseas. The period drama, which has been in the making since 2018, features South stars Ram Charan and NTR Jr, along with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. "The post-production is almost complete, but the release is postponed till cinema markets are up and running across the world," the makers said. RRR was clashing at the box office with Boney Kapoor's Maidaan, also starring Devgn. Kapoor was upset with Rajamouli for choosing the same date. Now, Maidaan has a clear window. But will its release also be deferred due to the same reason?
Sooraj Barjatya is said to be planning a film about family and friendship while awaiting favourite, but busy star Salman Khan's dates for his directorial venture. The buzz is that the cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. Barjatya, who is keen to shoot in Nepal, has already done a recce of various locations. The filmmaker hopes to roll the project before the year-end.
Speculation is rife that Shah Rukh Khan is planning a digital outing. Of late, the superstar prefers not to announce his projects and quietly work on them. After Siddharth Anand's Pathan and Atlee's untitled thriller, SRK has lined up something on an OTT platform. What is adding to the buzz is the superstar's promotional campaign for Disney+Hotstar in which he realises that everyone is joining the digital bandwagon except him. He wrote, "Hmmm⦠picture toh abhi baaki hai, mere doston." Buddy Karan Johar posted that King Khan is in "a state of FOMO for not being on OTT."
Over the weekend, Aditya Chopra launched the Saathi card initiative to extend support to the industry's daily-wage earners and their families post the COVID-19 crisis. The Yash Chopra Foundation will provide health insurance, school fee allowance, ration supply and health check-ups to the workers. Rajkummar Rao kicked off the shoot of HIT: The First Case on Sunday. The remake of the 2020 Telugu film of the same name also stars Sanya Malhotra. Sailesh Kolanu, who helmed the original, is directing the Hindi version.
"It's an engaging story, relevant in today's environment. As an actor, I am always on the lookout to play characters I haven't explored, and HIT gives me a chance to do that," said Rao.
On Sunday, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Munmun Dutta, who plays Babita in the comedy, slammed netizens for age-shaming, slut-shaming and mom-shaming women in the name of humour. This comes in the wake of news of her alleged relationship with co-star Raj Anadkat, who plays Tapu. He is said to be nine years younger than her. "To the general public, I had far better expectations from you. But the filth that you have showered in the comment section, even from the so-called literate ones proves how regressive a society we are," she posted.
