Deepika Padukone and AbRam Khan at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday
Deepika Padukone along with her husband actor Ranveer Singh attended the CWC 2023 final match between India and Australia in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The couple was accompanied by Deepika's father Prakash Padukone, sister Anisha and Ranveer's father. During the match, Deepika and Ranveer went to greet Shah Rukh Khan and his family and watched the match with them.
Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan share a great bond having worked together in multiple films beginning with the former's debut film 'Om Shanti Om'. This year the duo starred in hit films 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan' together. Now a video of Deepika and Ranveer interacting with SRK's kids in going viral. While Ranveer was having a brief chat with Suhana, it was Deepika who stole her attention with her affection towards little AbRam.
In the video, Deepika is seen giving a wide smile as she saw AbRam and asked him to come give her a hug. They hug and Deepika proceed to give him kisses on his cheek.

As for the match, it was a tough day for the men in blue as they lost the cup to Australia. It was also their first and only defeat during the tournament and it came as a big blow for the country. Post the match Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram stories to laud the team for their stellar performance throughout the tournament. "Some highs. Some lows. Some good days, some bad days. Some wins, some losses. That's sport. That's life. We are all gutted, but let's applaud our boys for giving it their all," he wrote.
Deepika, on the other hand, shared a picture of the National flag on her Instagram stories.
Coming to the match, Australia opted to bowl first and bundled out India for 240 in 50 overs. On a tough batting surface, skipper Rohit Sharma (47 in 31 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes), Virat Kohli (54 in 63 balls, with four boundaries) and KL Rahul (66 in 107 balls, with one four) posted important knocks. Mitchell Starc (3/55) was the pick of the bowlers for Australia. Skipper Pat Cummins (2/34) and Josh Hazlewood (2/60) also bowled well. Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell got a wicket each. In the chase of 241, India started off really well and had Aussies down at 47/3. Knocks from Travis Head (137 in 120 balls, with 15 fours and four sixes) and Marnus Labuschagne (58 in 110 balls, with four boundaries) left Indian team without answers and guided them to a six-wicket win.
Mohammed Shami took one wicket while Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets as well. Travis was given the 'Player of the Match' for his century.
