Although Aamir and Karan have not worked together, his wife Kiran and the filmmaker are good friends. Adds another source, "Apparently, Aamir had another commitment and couldn't make it to the party. However, Shah Rukh Khan was present by Karan's side. He took time out from his busy schedule and came to show support to fellow young actors. He was in a cheerful mood and partied till the wee hours. He chatted with everyone present and had lots of good things to say about the film."
