The actor, who was shooting in Kashmir for 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', took off for Jabalpur where his wife Anjali delivered as soon as he heard the news.
When co-star Salman Khan was informed, he rushed to congratulate Nawaz and told him, "God bless you."
The couple's first born is a daughter, Shora, who is six years old.
