Asked during a question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter whether he plans to visit Pakistan again, Rishi replied: "We all will come. Promise. But only once these circumstances between the two nations get better. Hope in my living time at least."
In another tweet, the 63-year-old shared details about his 1990 visit.
He wrote: "We shot for 'Henna' in Islamabad. Visited Lahore, Karachi and my family hometown Peshawar."
The 'Karz' actor also shared an old photograph in which he and his son and actor Ranbir Kapoor can be seen along with late Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
"Young Ranbir, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sahab and myself," he captioned the image.
