A source reveals, "The lyricist called up Sagar a few weeks ago, claiming that he has written the song Ishq Ka Keeda. The director didn't pay much attention to the caller. He thought may be someone was pulling a prank on him. But later on, he sent a legal notice to the producers."

Sagar confirms, "This guy called me and said 'sir one of your songs is copied'. I didn't take it seriously then. He filed a case after two weeks. We asked him where was he all these weeks when the song was being aired. I am sure that our song is original and he is just trying to cough up some cash and gain some publicity out of it," he further added. The producer Mukul Deora also adds, "To my knowledge the songs are original. I am hopeful that justice will prevail."
