Pari is Anushka Sharma's third outing as producer and her first in the horror genre. The film also stars Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajat Kapoor, Ritabhari Chakraborty and Mansi Multani in pivotal roles. Prosit Roy has handled directorial duties.
Pari released on March 2nd. Interestingly, the makers had recovered the cost of production even before the film's release. Focused on keeping the film's budget tightly in control, the producers have managed to keep its Cost of Production (CoP) at 10 crores through effective cost management; and with an additional P&A (print and advertising) of 8 crores, the total cost of the project stands at 18 crores. Pari earned 10 crores from the sale of its satellite, music, digital & others ancillary rights; thus covering its CoP even before release.
