Adani Invitational Golf Championship
In a major boost for Indian professional golf, the Adani Group has partnered with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) to launch the Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025. The tournament, featuring a â¹1.5 crore prize pool, will take place from 1st-4st April 2025 at Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, Greater Noida, marking PGTI's return to the venue after 11 years.
The championship aims to enhance accessibility to golf and nurture India's future global champions. The initiative also includes the establishment of a joint Adani-PGTI Golf Training Academy at Belvedere Golf & Country Club, Ahmedabad, to further develop young talent.
A Vision for Indian Golf
Speaking on the collaboration, Mr. Pranav Adani, Director, Adani Enterprises Limited, said, "We are delighted to join hands with Kapil Dev Ji and PGTI to contribute to the growth of Indian professional golf. Our goal is to cultivate Indian global champions and enhance accessibility to the sport by offering world-class training and playing opportunities."
PGTI President and Cricket Legend Kapil Dev expressed gratitude for Adani Group's support, stating, "This association will help PGTI produce more champion golfers who will make India proud on the global stage. I expect to see fans in big numbers following their favorite players during the tournament."
Amandeep Johl, CEO, PGTI, called the Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025 a watershed moment for Indian golf, saying, "This association raises the stature of the Tour. With an attractive prize purse and outstanding playing conditions at Jaypee Greens, we expect a spectacular week of golfing action."
In accordance of the same a pre-tournament, a golf clinic was organised on 29 March 2025 at The Belvedere Golf & Country Club, Ahmedabad, for 50 children from The Adani International School, conducted by five leading PGTI professionals.
Beyond the championship, the Adani-PGTI Golf Training Academy will focus on grassroots development, aligning with India's 2036 Olympic bid and fostering future international champions.
With this initiative, the Adani Group reaffirms its commitment to Indian sports, promising to elevate golf to new heights and inspire the next generation of champions.
