With people-less stadiums and low-res textures, this Supercross game lacks real soul

Supercross sounds like a great game on paper with its dirt bikes, official players and maps, but in reality, like most bike-based sim racing games, this one falls short.
To be honest, extracting the Supercross experience from a simulator is a Herculean task. Milestone S.r.l. has done a decent job of getting some of the riding mechanics right, but they aren’t anywhere close to perfect. While the ride and feel of Monster Energy Supercross is above average, the developers seem to have cut corners elsewhere. You can see it in everything, from the people-less stadiums and low-res textures.
Another redeeming feature of the game is the track builder that lets you make race tracks the way you want - the process is easy and simple to understand for a first timer. The rest of the game lacks soul and mostly seems like a vehicle for a beverage’s advertisement. While there is potential for a good game, for now it's only worth it for ardent fans of Supercross. We feel the game needs to be free for players, as there is no other way people would pay to play it.
