Arsenal edge out Chelsea 6-5, via tie-breaker in International Champions Cup

Alex Iwobi converted the winning spot-kick as Arsenal beat Chelsea 6-5 on penalties in a International Champions Cup clash here yesterday. Iwobi held his nerve to clinch the win for the Gunners after goalkeeper Petr Cech had saved from Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Earlier, Alexandre Lacazette fired a last-gasp equaliser for Arsenal after Antonio Rudiger's early header had given Chelsea a half-time lead.


Chelsea kickoff their Premier League 2018-19 campaign away against Huddersfield on August 11, 2018, while Arsenal host champions Manchester City on August 12, 2018. Both Arsenal and Chelsea have new coaching staff this season and it will be interesting to see how they play out in the season ahead.
