The wait for the ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand is finally over. Both teams have rolled up their sleeves to face each other at Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium.


India skipper Rohit Sharma has won the toss and elected to bat first against New Zealand.

The hosts have not lost a single match so far in the ICC World Cup 2023 and will look to complete the ICC World Cup 2019 revenge against the 'Black Caps', today. 

India and New Zealand have clashed against each other in 117 ODI matches out of which the 'Men in Blue' have come victorious on 59 occasions and the 'Black Caps' have won 50 matches. Seven games between the teams ended with no result and one game ended in a tie.

Virat Kohli will be the most-eyed player as he is just one century away from registering a record for most ODI centuries in cricketing history. With this, he will also level Virender Sehwag's record of most ODI centuries by an Indian batsman against New Zealand.

Kiwi's opening batsman Rachin Ravindra has smashed three centuries in the ICC World Cup 2023 and had smashed 75 runs in his last faceoff against the 'Men in Blue'. He is falling short of one century to share the spot with Quinton de Kock of most centuries by a player in the ICC World Cup 2023 which is four.
