It was expected to be an exciting battle between the West Indies’ flair and a capable England attack, but was reduced to a no-contest following a horrendous batting display by the Caribbean side.

England bowlers were persistent with their line and length and were rewarded as West Indies managed their second lowest T20 total after 45 they made against the same opponents in 2019.

Brief scores
WI 55 in 14.2 overs (C Gayle 13; A Rashid 4-2, T Mills 2-17, M Ali 2-17) lost to England 56-4 in 8.2 overs (J Buttler 24*; A Hosein 2-24) by 6 wkts
