Condolences to your family, stay strong: Cricket fraternity mourns death of Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father

The Indian cricket fraternity went on to pay their condolences to Bhuvneshwar and his family on social media with many of his teammates posting messages.

Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father Kiran Pal Singh passed away on Thursday, May 20, in Meerut. Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father was suffering from liver cancer and his illness was detected in September 2020.


After Bhuvneshwar Kumar's father's condition got worse, he was hospitalised in Meerut at a private facility and was discharged on Tuesday. However, two days later, the SRH pacer's father succumbed to cancer.


Kiran Pal Singh was a retired sub-inspector in the Uttar Pradesh police.


Meanwhile, the Indian cricket fraternity went on to pay their condolences to Bhuvneshwar and his family on social media with many of his teammates posting messages.

Former Indian cricketer and CSK all-rounder Suresh Raina wrote, "Very sorry to hear about your Father @BhuviOfficial! May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to you & your family..Om Shanti." 

Former cricketer Wasim Jaffer wrote, "So sorry to hear about your father @BhuviOfficial. May his soul rest in peace, Thoughts and prayers with you and family. Please take care and stay strong."

Bhuvi's IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad also offered condolences to him and his family. The franchise posted, "Our condolences to @BhuviOfficial & his family on the passing of his father. Stay strong, Bhuvi."

"Our thoughts are with you and your family", Mumbai Indians franchise wrote on Twitter.

Last week, RP Singh and Piyush Chawla's fathers passed away due to Covid-19.
