Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and opted to field against India in the first one-day international at the Madhavrao stadium on Tuesday.

India would be without middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh, who has failed to recover from a finger injury.

Virat Kohli, as expected, comes in place of Yuvraj. Also missing from the hosts' final XI are Pragyan Ojha and Sudeep Tyagi.

Sri Lanka will be without two star bowlers - spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan and paceman Lasith Malinga. While Malinga is down with flu, Murali is out due to finger injury.
