'Organised' Bopara, stepping in for injured Trott, eager to make an impact on Test return

Ravi Bopara, who has replaced Jonathan Trott in the England team for tomorrow's Test against India, has invested some money in an I-Padu00a0-- to be more organised.

Bopara, it can be recalled, was pulled up by team bosses for forgetting his passport before a trip to Belgium in 2009 when the England squad visited the battlefields ofu00a0 World War I to seek inspiration for their future on-field battles.

Trott injured his shoulder when he dived to stop a Rahul Dravid drive during the second Test. The Warwickshire batsman could well miss the fourth and final Test at The Oval too.

"I've invested in an I-pad which is helping me a lot to jot little things down. I get my emails straightaway now and don't have to find WiFi. Now, I have 3G. My life is certainly more organised now," Bopara said yesterday.

The Essex batsman is answerable to batting expert Graham Gooch and coach Andy Flower, both taskmasters.u00a0

"It is one of the things that happened but they cannot keep happening. I have made the effort to be more organised. It may sound silly but the i-pad has really helped me," he added. An English journalist, advised: "Don't forget to charge it up."

On a more serious note, Bopara said he was determined to get some big runs at Edgbaston never mind if he has to go back to county cricket once Trott returns. "I cannot be saying to myself this is my last opportunity. This IS an opportunity. I'm sure Trotty will come back in. He is a class player and has proved himself many times.

But this is a window of opportunity for me to score runs and prove myself. There is only one way to get inu00a0-- to knock someone else out, said the 26-year old batsman.

Bopara England's bowlers for the hosts' dominance in the series. "England have bowled very, very well. They have moved the ball in the air which always makes it hard for batsmen. And the batters have got big runs," he said.

According to the attractive batsman, who has scored three hundreds in 10 Tests, England won't be satisfied by just becoming the No 1 Test team if they win at Edgbaston. "We have a goal to be No 1 in the world, but it is not just being No 1. It is about staying up there. We are looking to win every match," he said.
