>> Brendon McCullum is nicknamed 'Bazz'.


>> Brendon McCullum has a wife Elissa and the couple have two children – Riley and Maya.

>> He grew up in a cricketing family. Not only is younger his brother, Nathan, an international cricketer, but, his father Stuart McCullum also played 75 matches at first-class level for Otago between late 1970s – early 90s.

>> McCullum represented his country at the U-19 World Cup in 2000. His brother played too.

>> He holds the record for the highest individual score by a Kiwi at U-19 level. He scored 186 runs against South Africa in 2001.

>> He is the first New Zealand cricketer to score a triple century in Tests. He achieved this when he scored 302 against India in February 2014.

>> McCullum became a columnist for the Daily Mail newspaper in 2015

>> Brendon is the leading run scorer in Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) and the only player to have scored 2,000 runs or more. He is also the only cricketer to score two centuries in T20Is.

>> During the 2015 ICC World Cup, McCullum became the first NZ captain to lead his team to the finals.

>> He is undoubtedly considered as New Zealand most successful wicket-keeper.
