The protesters demanded that the SCA adopt a few villages or provide water to nearby villages from the stadium's pump and well.
Realising the seriousness of the situation, SCA secretary Niranjan Shah and other officials came out to meet the agitators. Shah asked them to approach the civic authorities with their demand for water, and told them that SCA used water for ground maintenance from its own water resources.
