India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni pulled out the praise brush for his star batsman Virat Kohli after the Delhi batsman guided India to a convincing eight-wicket win over Pakistan in the Super Eights World Twenty20 match here yesterday
Kohli’s unbeaten 78 helped India get some oxygen with regards to their survival in the competition. “He has been consistent in the last one and a half years. It is good that a batsman is in consistent form and others are revolving around him,” said Dhoni last night.

The skipper didn’t forget to hail his bowlers who restricted Pakistan to 128. “The team responded well and the bowlers bowled really well to restrict Pakistan to a small total. Zak (Zaheer Khan) and Irfan Pathan bowled well,” said Dhoni, who indicated that his side was not desperate to win this game. “We were not desperate to win today. I always felt that if you are desperate for a win, you put more pressure on yourself. There is no point doing that. We want to live in the present and not think too far ahead of ourselves. We had a very relaxed dressing room atmosphere. Before the match started today, I could see there were some positive energy among the players and I thought we would do well today.” —u00a0
