Delhi Test: Dale Steyn to undergo fitness test today

New Delhi: Dale Steyn sustained a groin injury during the first Test at Mohali and hasn't played a part in the series since. South African assistant coach Adrian Birrell said that the paceman would undergo a fitness test today to assess his availability for the fourth Test.

"With a fast bowler, a groin injury takes a little time to get right. We need him (Steyn) to be 100 per cent fit before we play him in a Test match," Birrell said.

While this has been a series dominated by spin, Steyn's loss was a huge blow to South Africa's chances. If South Africa are to finish a tough Test series on a high, they would pray for his fitness ahead of the fourth Test.
