Cricket legend Anil Kumble had a habit of breaking records during his playing days and the leg-spinner won India more Test matches than any other bowler in history.

He finished his career as the third-highest Test wicket-taker with 619 scalps, behind Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne.
He's an inspiration to all aspiring young cricketers and now we know what kept him motivated his 20-year cricket career.

The former India captain has shared a picture of himself from his school playing days on Twitter that shows him posing with the first bat he won and the Shivcharan Lal Trophy.
Kumble captioned the picture, "The prized possession that has kept me motivated all along."
Clearly, winning started early for the former Mumbai Indians mentor and it was something that kept pushing him to do better and strive harder.
