Yahya Sinwar, a key figure behind the October 7 attack on Israel, was killed on October 17. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops were not specifically looking for him during their operations in Gaza. They only realized one of the three terrorists killed resembled Sinwar after inspecting the site. The IDF sent his body samples to a forensic institute in Israel for confirmation. Sinwar had spent over twenty years in an Israeli prison and underwent several medical procedures during that time. His death was seen as a significant victory for the Israeli military and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, boosting their efforts in the ongoing conflict. Watch video for more details.
