Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished King Charles III of Britain a speedy recovery and good health after he was diagnosed with cancer following treatment for benign prostate enlargement. Modi voiced his feelings on social media platform X, reflecting those of the people of India.

"I join the people of India in wishing speedy recovery and good health to His Majesty King Charles III," PM Modi wrote in his social media post.

Following Buckingham Palace's announcement of King Charles III's cancer diagnosis, leaders from other countries sent their best wishes for his recovery. While the form of cancer was not divulged, the palace said that the 75-year-old monarch has begun treatment and is optimistic.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak led the global outpouring of support, expressing faith in the King's rapid recovery. Former Prime Ministers Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, and Sir Tony Blair, as well as US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, expressed worry and hope for the King's health.

"Wishing His Majesty a full and speedy recovery. I have no doubt he’ll be back to full strength in no time and I know the whole country will be wishing him well," Sunak wrote in his social media post.

Liz Truss wrote, "Sending every best wish to His Majesty The King and the Royal Family as he undergoes his treatment for cancer. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. God Save The King!"

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, and figures from across the UK political spectrum all wished King Charles III a full recovery.

"I, like Canadians across the country and people around the world, am thinking of His Majesty King Charles III as he undergoes treatment for cancer. We’re sending him our very best wishes – and hoping for a fast and full recovery," Trudeau wrote.

The King has begun a course of regular treatments and has been instructed to temporarily halt his public obligations. Messages of support and encouragement continue to come in from all across the world.
