Kabul: At least four civilians were killed on Friday in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan's Kandahar province, an official said.

"One vehicle touched off an improvised explosive device along a road in Maiwand district. The blast claimed the lives of four passengers aboard the vehicle," Xinhua news agency quoted the official as saying.
The official accused Taliban for the attack.
The Taliban has been using IEDs to target security forces but the lethal weapons also inflict casualties on civilians, according to military officials.
