Two Russian women got an unpleasant surprise when their ex-boss paid them 36,000 rubles (Rs 56,000) to settle a dispute in tiny coins.
Anfisa Sizhuk and Anzhelika Shemyakina were laid off amid the financial crisis and had de manded payment for unused vacation time.
When the company, Deco-Line, refused to pay, they complained to labour authorities.
Finally the director of the company relented. But the money came in 33 bags filled with coins.
Sizhuk and Shemyakina had to call friends to help them carry the bags, which weighed around 20 kg.
But their boss was unrepentant. "The girls wanted to get a lot of money, and they got it?" said Deco-line director Konstantin Lyalikov.
