Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a 2-day visit to Egypt. On June 25, the PM visited Cairo’s historic Al-Hakim Mosque. The historic mosque in Cairo is named after Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah. The mosque was restored with the help of India’s Dawoodi Bohra community. Modi’s visit to Egypt is the first bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Egypt in 26 years. PM Modi is in Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Later in the day, PM Modi met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
