The Indian Army has successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by three foreign terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir`s Kupwara District. Acting on reliable information, the army set up ambushes in the Keran Sector and engaged the terrorists during the night of July 13-14. Brigadier NR Kulkarni, Commander of the 268th Infantry Brigade, highlighted that the operation was crucial to prevent disturbances by terrorists, especially during the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. Recent incidents, including an attack on soldiers in Kathua, underscore the ongoing threat in the region. The army remains vigilant to safeguard against further terrorist activities.
