ISRO marked another milestone as it successfully completed its third consecutive Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) Landing Experiment on June 23. Dubbed `Pushpak`, the winged vehicle was released from an IAF Chinook Helicopter at an altitude of 4.5 km and executed a precise horizontal landing, showcasing advanced autonomous capabilities in challenging conditions. Conducted at the Aeronautical Test Range in Chitradurga, Karnataka, the RLV-LEX-03 mission simulated high-speed landing conditions for vehicles returning from space. ISRO confirmed that the experiment achieved all its objectives, paving the way for future missions like the RLV-ORV, focusing on orbital reusable vehicles.
