On October 28, an IDF pilot, Maj. (Res.) Asaf Dagan, tragically took his own life in a forest near Atlit amid Israel`s ongoing conflict. His sister, Inbal Dagan, shared that he left a note expressing he was “so tired, exhausted.” She criticized the Israeli government for its outdated support for traumatized veterans. Inbal explained that their mother worked tirelessly to help Asaf, who was suffering from PTSD, but her efforts were largely ignored by the Defence Ministry and other organizations. Inbal also mentioned that the IDF denied Asaf a military burial. The family is now urging the public for support to ensure he receives recognition for his struggles and service.
