Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM chief, has rejected Union Home Minister Amit Shah's request to accept Z category security.

The Hyderabad MP said, "Today in the parliament, HM Amit Shah asked me to accept Z category security. I want to say to him that the value of my life is not more than 22 people who died during the CAA protest. I don't like people with arms around me, I'm a free bird, want to live freely."

Earlier, in the Rajya Sabha, Shah had urged Owaisi to accept the Z category security provided by the centre. He also said that a probe has been initiated to look into an attack on Owaisi's convoy. Owaisi's car was attacked in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh on February 3. As of now, two people have been arrested and sent in judicial custody for 14 days.
