Civil rights group seeks Delhi government intervention for effective implementation of Right to Education Act

civil rights group Social Jurists hasu00a0u00a0filed a PIL in the Delhi High Court asking for effective implementation of the provisions of the RTE Act relating to admissions of children belonging to disadvantageous groups and



economically weaker sections (EWS) to the extent of 25 percent seats in all the 1800 unaided, recognised private schools in Delhi in the current academic year in nursery/pre-primary classes.

The petitioner has highlighted the fact that Delhi government has failed to specify the minimum limit of annual income of parent or guardian.
