The NGO worker paraded the minor in front of television crews at the scene of crime, and asked the survivor to narrate her ordeal
The Dindoshi police have initiated an inquiry against an NGO worker, Anjali Khanna, for bringing the survivor in front of media crew for an interview at the same spot where she had been gang-raped by four men on November 1.

Yesterday, Khanna, who was asked to counsel the girl as she was traumatised, presented the girl with her face covered in front of television cameras. But in spite of the minor weeping, she was coaxed by Khanna to repeat her ordeal and narrate her nightmare. The teary-eyed minor was asked to give bytes to television channels for about six minutes by Khanna.
After a few mediapersons intervened, the girl, who was accompanied by her family, was asked not to disclose her name and other details. The girl was also asked to retrace her steps of the fateful night. She was asked to recall the entire sequence of events in front of the gathered media. Sadly, after the interview, the girl’s brother had to take the survivor to the hospital, as she was weak and needed medical attention.
It later emerged that Khanna had called the media persons and asked them to gather at the incident spot after the press conference held by the DCP. When Khanna was asked the reasons for the unethical act, she realised her mistake and accepted she had done wrong. The police have now sought an explanation from Khanna and have asked her to pay a visit to the police station at the earliest.
Earlier, after the FIR was registered, the police officials expressed a desire to keep the girl under their protection, as the remaining accused were not arrested and could inflict harm on her. However, Khanna did not allow them to do so.u00a0
