The former CEO of the company has also been given a seat on the board ofu00a0 directors.
Radio One, a joint venture between MiD DAY Multimedia and BBC Worldwide, declared outstanding results in the last quarter. It grew by 49 per cent in the last quarter (over last year), in a market that saw little or no growth. In the first nine months of the financial yearu00a0 between April and December, the company's revenues grew by 72 per cent over the previous year.
Metro specialist
It is positioned as a 'metro radio specialist'. In one-and-a-half years of Hukmani's leadership, the station has made an aggressive foray into garnering the loyalty of metro audiences and efficient monetising of the same.
Through its innovative programming, innovative pricing of on-airu00a0 activities and inventory to advertisers, and a creative team focussed on being metro innovators, the station has become the fastest growing radio network in the metros.
