On the day India celebrates its 62nd Republic Day, a new vigilante will take on a non-violent movement just as Mahatma Gandhi did back in his day to fight the establishment.

However, to do so, all one has to do is register online and their cause will be fought free of cost.

Citizens can go online on https://www.publickarepublic.com/, which will be launched today, and speak against any government or police official who has wronged them.

Dave Bannerjee, co-founder, said, "The site will be positioned as a virtual country. You'll have to be recommended to gain entry here. We'll try to mediate and then finally go to the judiciary with a lawsuit as a last resort. Because there really is no NGO that you can go to with your problems."

The website has already registered 200 lawyers from across the country who will devote their time to the cause. Bannerjee hopes that the target of 2,000 will be met with by the end of this year.

Bannerjee, said, "It was a culmination of a lot of things including the Radia tapes, which no one even talked about. Frankly, I don't want my daughter growing up in a country riddled with corruption. This will be our non-violent movement against the government. Building malls are not the benchmarks for progress."
