Most cricket aficionados in the city have given the thumbs down to the team T-shirt, which they said did not exude the vivacious milieu of their city.u00a0 Vaidehi Suryavanshi, a lecturer, said black suits athletes playing individual sport. But for a team sport like cricket, it should be avoided. "Itu00a0 does not help exhibit unity."
Gaurav Gupta, sales executive said: "None of the team members got visibility. Though they played well, each one looked dreary and boring."

Ravindra Kumbhar, a working professional, said the jersey looked similar to the old Kolkata Knight Riders' jersey. I didn't like the logo and the colours. It was disappointing."

Many cricket fans said they were sorely disappointed. Abhyangh Kuvalekar, actor and model, said the colour diffused a sombre mood. "Pune is a young and vibrant city but that's not reflected by the jersey. It should have at least depicted the city lifestyle. Also there are too many logos and I didn't even like the promotions because they are not very effective," he said.

Ruchi Chaurasia, a student, said: "The jersey could have been much better as the players in the team like Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa are handsome and the colour does not complement their good looks."

Nevertheless, die-hard fans are not shying away from splurging on the jerseys to affirm their support for their team. An official from an Adidas store, which is the only one selling the jerseys currently, said there was much demand for the jerseys. "We are getting calls daily enquiring about the jersey and other accessories and then they are also coming to buy it," he said.
