So you thought liquor sale was banned on election day? We went looking, and found a restaurant in the heart of Bangalore doing brisk business.

And we didn't have much difficulty walking in, pretending to be buyers, and buying two quarter bottles of the 'banned' stuff.

2 pm, Chamarajpet (Mysore Circle)

>>Nisarga is a non-vegetarian restaurant in this bustling south Bangalore locality.
>>We hear it is easy to buy liquor here. A full liquor ban is in force, but this restaurant is using that law to make some quick profits.
>>We ask for premium whiskey, but the man at the counter tells us he can only give us Raja, a cheap brand.
>>He demands Rs 100 for a quarter bottle, which on a normal day costs Rs 40. We also buy Amrut's Silver Cup brandy for Rs 50. The regular price is Rs 20.
