The India International Coffee Festival 2009 already underway, is attracting hundreds of delegates to network and learn more about coffee and its prospects

Coffee is not easy to cultivate and requires high degree of dedication and skill to grow adequately. The vast networking event will bring together the best traders and business people in the coffee industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs and those who want to expand their business in the coffee industry. Watch out for discussions on how to expand business in the coffee trade based on the current market. Booths are set up by all the major brands, with different segments of people from all sectors of the coffee industry.

Each step of cleaning and drying affects the coffee's flavour. Close attention should be paid to the strength, flavour, texture and acidity of a cup of coffee. Workshops are being held at the festival to help people learn the art of making the perfect brew, getting the right roast, and how to perfect shots.

Four workshops: Art and Science of Coffee Roasting, Art and Science of Espresso Brewing and Cappucino Making, Indian Style of Coffee Brewing and Effect of Milk and Cooking with Coffee. (Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per person, per workshop)

A coffee tour will also be taking place for international participants and those who are new to the heartland of coffee. See www.iicf.in for more info.

At: The Lalit Ashok, Kumara Krupa High Grounds.
Call: 3052 7777.

On till: October 9 from 9.30am-1pm.
