Mumbai reports five cases of Covid-19, active tally at 30

Mumbai on Saturday reported as many as five cases of Covid-19. The addition of the fresh cases took the tally of infections in city to 11,55,289, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said in a health bulletin.


No death was reported on February 11, the death toll remained unchanged at 19,747, it said.


The recovery count increased by three more patient to touch the total number of recoveries to 11,35,512, the health bulletin said.


The city now has an active caseload of 30 patients, it further said.

According to the data, Mumbai's overall growth rate of cases between February 4 and February 10 was 0.0003 per cent, and the recovery rate stood at 98.3 per cent.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Saturday reported 16 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 81,37,280, the state health department said, reported the PTI.

The death toll remained unchanged at 1,48,421 as no fresh fatalities were reported.

Maharashtra is now left with 82 active cases after 15 patients were discharged during the day, taking the number of recoveries to 79,88,777, it said.

The case recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.18 per cent and the fatality rate at 1.82 per cent, the department said.
