On Saturday night, Yash Naidu (21) and Muralitharan Yediyar (21) came to visit Lawrence Gaudar (20) and they decided to go to Jain Temple in Irala, SV Road via motorcycle. As per Gaudar’s complaint, around 1am, when they were on their way they were hit by a car from behind. Naidu and Yediyar were critically injured and Gaudar took them a distance before fainting.

Kedia was arrested and presented before the court on Sunday and was granted bail. When Naidu died on Monday the police decided to add IPC section 304 A( causing death due to negligence) in the case.

Senior police inspector of Juhu police Shashikant Mane said, "After Naidu's death, we will IPC section 304 A in the case and take further action."

Juhu police had registered a case under IPC sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).

Naidu's cousin Vijay Ghosalkar said that the car was speeding.
