He abused the lady constable and also threatened to kill her

The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) has arrested a man for threatening, abusing and insulting a woman police constable on duty at the main control room. When he called the control room, he spoke in different “accents”, which according to the police, he learnt during his time in Taloja jail.

When the police tracked down the number from which the call came, its location was traced to Khar Danda, after which the police arrested the caller. The caller has been identified as Chandrashekhar Dhuri, 41. He abused the lady constable and also threatened to kill her.
The accused has been handed over to the Azad Maidan police. The CIU unit in-charge Milind Kathe said, “Two cases were previously registered against him in Borivli police station, one case under IPC 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and the other is of 302 (murder).”
